-676- SAMUEL C., b. 31 July 1818; left Maine in 1846 and settled in Morgan Co., Ill. near his brother Cyrus; m. ca 1847 Martha (surname of Martha not at hand, b. In Illinois in 1826. At the 1860 census they lived In Scotland Twp., Macomb, McDonough Co., Ill. On 15 Aug. 1879 they sold their 160 acre holdings, do not appear in the 1880 census In that county, and apparently they moved to another area.
