-404- AMOS E., b. 16 June 1781; d. In Portland, Me. 21 June 1849, ae 68. He m. ca 1802 a cousin, Lucy Knight (271) b. in Westbrook, Me. in 1779, daughter of Merrill (93) and Sarah (Wilson) Knight. She d. In 1854, ae 80. They lived In Peru, Me. for a while, but were of Westbrook in 1847 when he conveyed to his son John, land on the northerly side of the Presumpscot River.

-408, 409, 410- According to the 1790 census, they had two sons and one daughter, all under 16 years. Apparently the children predeceased him, because on 10 Nov. 1805, his land In Falmouth, Me. was sold by his brothers, "being land which descended to us as heirs of the estate of our brother Joshua Knight". A child of Joshua d. In Alfred, Me. In 1799, but the age and sex was not given.
