-382- JOHN, b. 17 June 1741; m. (1) In Falmouth, ME. 22 Nov. 1764 Sarah Kenney; m. (2) Elizabeth Cobb. On 15 Apr. 1768 he mortgaged to Hannah Rowe of Amesbury, MA. a widow, 2,3 of 3/16 of an acre of land and 2/3 of the building thereon, being the land and building 'late belonging to my father , Isaac Knight, joiner'. This mortgage was given to secure payment to Hannah Rowe of two shillings per week for support of her unborn child until it should reach the age of six years. In the Amesbury records is found 'born 19 Aug. 1768, John, son of Hannah Rowe and John Knight, as she saith'. (Hannah Hunt, b. 7 Oct. 1734; m. 9 Dec. 1762 Stephen Rowe. who d. in 1767).
