(2) 23 Sept. 1760 Elisabeth Plumer, b. 29 April 1716. She m. (2) in Newburyport 17 Dec. 1780 Capt. Richard Hinkley of Marblehead, Ma.

-49- ENOCH, b. 23 July 1709; m. (1) in Newbury 11 Nov. 1736 Elizabeth Jaques, a first cousin, daughter of Richard and Elizabeth (Knight) Jaques (30) b. 16 Aug. 1709; d. 1741-46. In 1741 he moved to Falmouth, Me. where with his brother William he had purchased land from his brother George. He m. (2) in Falmouth 10 Aug. 1746 Margaret (Barber) Winslow, widow of Job Winslow, b. in Dublin, Ire. 1716; d. in Windham Me. 1 Nov. 1808, ae 92. 'She practiced as a midwife for more than 40 years, and 'had an account of 3037 children at whose birth she had assisted,' Portland Gazette, Nov. 14, 1808.' After his second marriage he joined the Quaker Church, of which his wife was a member. Although a Quaker he served in Capt. Joseph Pride's Co. in the Revolution with rank of 2nd Lt. but was reduced to the ranks for disobedience to orders. Date of death unknown. but after 1780.
