-1337- HOSEA L., b. 28 Feb. 1830; d. in Armstrong, III. 14 Jan. 1901, ae 78, a farmer; m. 17 Apr. 1851 Sarah Nelson, b. in Easton, Ohio 8 Oct. 1829; d. in Armstrong 22 Jan. 1910, ae 80. From 1854-61 he and his brother Jonathan and their father had a sawmill on Grassy Creek, near DeMossville, Ky. In the fall of 1861, after the outbreak of the Civil War, the brothers moved to Ill., and settled near Danville. In 1876 he and Jonathan built the first church in Armstrong, which was still in existence and use 100 years later.
