-1330- JOHN L., b. 27 Dec. 1816; d. in Wabash, md. 22 Feb. 1888, ae 71; he taught school for three years, then attended Alleghany College for two years; moved to Wabash where he studied law with a lawyer and was licensed to practice law in 1843. He m. (1) 24 May 1847 Martha A. Ray of Wabash, b. 1830, who d. 3 Dec. 1858, ae 28 at childbirth; he m. (2) 4 Mar. 1861 Mary Newton of Crawfordsville, Ind., b. i837; d. 10 Feb. 1862, ae 24. He was elected Judge of the Common Pleas Court from 1852-56, also was very active in banking and in newspaper publishing.

(2) in Vermilion City., III. 14 May 1866 Mrs. Amy Juvinal, b. 12 Dec. 1831 d. 11 Mar. 1891, ac 59. From 1854-61 he and his brother Hosea had a sawmill on Grassy Creek, near DeMossville, Ky.

-1334- FRANKLIN L., formerly known as Franklin Fayette might, b. 26 Mar. 1824; d. in Macpelah, N.C. 27 Apr. 1896, while on a business trip there, ae 72. He was a lumber merchant in Philadelphia, Pa. He m. 29 Oct. 1846 Jane Osborne, b. in Phila. 11 June 1828; d. there 18 Feb. 1911, ae 82. They lived In Pendleton City., KY. 1849-51. He was also a Methodist visiting preacher, he had no regular parish, but preached at homes for the poor, and at institutions.
