-852- ENOCH L., b. in Sweden, Me. 24 June 1834; d. in Los Angeles, Ca. 16 May 1908, ae 74, buried In Portland, Me.; m. 12 May 1863 Georgia Deering of Paris, Me., b. 21 Oct. 1837; d. in Portland 2 July 1887, ae 49. He was admitted to the Bar in 1858 and practiced law in Bridgeton, Me. until Oct. 1861, then he raised a company of volunteers for the 12th Maine Regt.; at the close of the Civil War he entered the newspaper business as publisher of the Eastern Argus in Portland until 1873, when he resumed the practice of law. He was a member of the Maine Legislature in 1872-73 and was Judge of the Municipal Court in Portland 1875-83. In 1887 he moved to Pasadena, Ca. and practiced law there. He m. (2) ca 1900 (name of wife unknown).
