THE NUMBERING SYSTEM

Each Knight descendant is given a number in consecutive order, beginning with No. 1 for John Knight, the first settler, and No. 2, 3, 4 and 5 for his children, which completes the first and second generation. The spouse has the same number as the Knight descendant.

Any person given a number in this book can locate his or her name by reference to one of the indices; then by tracing the number back or forward, his or her complete genealogical line will be disclosed.
